the lowry, salford quays

the view from the other side of the ship canal gives a better perspective on the two modern architectural and cultural centres in the area; the lowry, and the imperial war museum in the north. they sit like brooding sirens, their stark, beautiful metal-swathed presence on either side of ship canal.
